Moate Agricultural Show attracts patrons and exhibitors from all over Ireland. There is something for young and old at the show!
Moate Agricultural Show is one of the oldest in the country, the first of which was held in 1839.
There are classes for Horses, their highlight being the Anthony Browne Oil All Ireland filly foal final, they also cater for Cattle, Sheep, Poultry, Farm produce, Photography, Arts & Crafts, Cut flowers and floral arrangements. They have a large cookery section and an All Ireland Cookery Final competition.
There are also a large number of classes for dogs.
Children are not forgotten about! There are art, cookery, crafts and handwriting classes for them.
