Having shared the stage with comedy legends likes of Bill Burr, Dylan Moran, David O’ Doherty, PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamare, Chris himself is on the road to becoming a household name.
Coming from ‘The Rebel County’ (Cork for anyone outside Ireland!), originally working as an electrician, Chris decided to pack in the day job and pursue his calling to the stage.
Cork comedian and all-round funny man Chris Kent comes males his Athlone appearance at The Prince of Wales Hotel on the 14th March 2020 with his brand new side-cracking live show ‘Christy Doesn’t Live Here’. Where that show title comes from will have you in stitches. Chris is now back with more stories, more kids and in his own words “a keep cup to compensate for my guilt about overpopulation“. In this live comedy show, Chris tries to come to terms with being labelled “well trained” for carrying out the most basic of tasks. He also gets deep down and personal and talks about his favourite clothes horse or now titled “garment donkey” if you’re a maniac neighbour…wait until you hear the rest of that one.
His festival appearances include The Kilkenny cat laughs, The Vodafone Comedy Festival, The Galway Comedy festival, Electric Picnic, and many more on the Irish scene.
