Hen Weekends @ The Prince of Wales Hotel Athlone

We at the Prince of Wales Hotel can look after all of your requirements for your "Perfect Hen Weekend".

Before your night out you can relax & avail of the Mingala Spa, which is only a few minutes from us. Mingala are offering special Hen Party packages from as little as €25.00 per person. We can provide drinks in the Spa during your treatments. We can arrange for a Masseuse to come to the Hotel & do a massage session in your own room, times do depend on his availability and it costs €60 per hour.

Dinner is served in our Restaurant from 18.00 - 21.00 & We would be happy to reserve a large table for your party.

Our Cocktail training is the perfect way to start the night. It takes approximately 1 & 1/2 Hours; an area will be reserved for you in our cocktail bar & you will get to learn from our mixologist how to make the perfect cocktail. You will get a chance to test what you have learned & drink the cocktails you make! This costs €30 per person for 20+ people and for lesser numbers it is €25 per person.

Our Karaoke Bar is also a very popular option and can be hired for up to 2 hours at a time.

Here come the Girls!
You can book a No.7 & 17 makeup masterclass with the Prince Bar that is run by Boots Professionals. Classes will take place for an hour & a half in the Prince Bar ,with full instructions on makeup application, product information, skincare & q&as from No.7 consultants Ashyln & Amy or Melissa & Cindy for boots Self Selection range (all other makeup brands boots sell including the 17 range). These Boots professionals have been trained to the highest standard both in Skincare & cosmetics & are regularly sent on training courses to the UK to keep them up to date with the latest products.
This is priced @ €150 total, A maximum of 15 people per course so its only €10 per person.

We can also arrange for a Boat trip on the river Shannon there are three great options, The River Run which has proved very popular will all past hen parties. Also there is the Viking Boat or an exhilarating powerboat ride on the Baracuda.

Salsa Dancing can also be arranged for your group on request

Super Slumber Party

We can arrange a Super Slumber party for the 1st night of your hen weekend were we can turn the function room into your own personal cinema for all your closest family and friends. We will play your favourite chick flick on the screen, sit back and relax with popcorn, chocolates, champagne and all in your own private area. Why not really splash out and hire your own personal barman for the night.

You can also enjoy Karma Club below the hotel. As a hotel resident receive a 50% discount into the club before 12.30 after that time it is €10 per person. You can also reserve an area in Karma for your group. If you wish to do this please feel free to e-mail laura@karma.ie & she will take care of you on that end, Spaces do fill up quickly so book as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. Please note that hens attire/fancy dress is not permitted in the club as part of their neat dress policy. We do allow hens attire/fancy dress in the Prince Bar. 

We can arrange for any of your needs if you would like Champagne in the room on arrival for the Hen or any other ideas you may have we would be happy to assist.
